Spectis products have two coats of paint and arrive ready to paint or stain. The second coating of paint is an exterior product that serves as a primer and allows for a beautiful finish in the field. All Spectis products require finishing in order to complete installation.
Steps For Finishing:
- Let Spectis Adhesive Dry 24-48 Hours Before Any Finishing
- Remove Any Excess Adhesive Once Dry
- Remove Any Dirt, Oil, Or Grease From Product With A Remover Product
- Rough Up The Surface Around Any Holes Made During Installation Using Sandpaper
- Sand All Joint Areas For A Smoother Appearance
- Remove All Excess Sanding Dust
• Apply A Filler To Any Unsightly Areas, Sanding Between Coats - Prime Any Areas That Required Filler With Interior/Exterior Latex Primer
- Use An Exterior Paintable Latex Caulk For Any Seams For A Clean Installation
- Choose A Paint To Match Your Design - Dark/Glossy Paints Can Accentuate Installation Flaws
- Spectis Product Is Ready To Paint
